When researching Multifunctional output devices, there are many things to consider besides the cost of the hardware. With the focus on the environment, one should factor in the cost of power when printing or when the device is idle, productivity and 2-sided print capability, and how reliable the device is when recycled paper is utilized. Take a broader apprach and you wont be suprised.

Thank you, Charlene for visiting the blog and posting! This is very helpful information for anyone who is considering the purchase of an all-in-one printer. Several other people sent emails about this HP Officejet Pro printer. It sounds like a good one!

Hi Ann,

Of all the all-in-one printers out there, my favorite by far is the HP Officejet Pro L7500 which takes 4 cartridges; HP#88XL in black, cyan, magenta and yellow.

I use it for all 4 functions; fax, print, copy and scan and love it!

I use it heavily and have had it about a year now. It has many features too.

Hope this helps!

Thank you, Linda, for posting your comment. This is exactly the kind of information consumers need to know about - BEFORE purchasing a printer.

I sell ink and toner, and I have had customers call me asking for ink and print heads for the Kodak ESP 5. It seems once the ink runs out, and you try to replace it, then the print head goes bad.Unfortunately, the print heads are not easy to come by either. If consumer has to buy the print head every time or every other time with the inkjet and go on a wild goose chase to find the product, there is no real savings.

Hold on, as I see this set of printers is going to cause a stir up in the printer world. Mostly for service techs and head aches for suppliers.

After receiving dozens of emails concerning this post, I thought I should make this clear: I am not endorsing the Kodak printer; just looking for information from users and printer experts. Thank you to everyone who emailed and put information on my Facebook page.
